In Aion 2, the class you choose during character creation isn’t set in stone. Thanks to the game’s Class Change system, you can switch your character’s class while keeping your level, gear, and progression intact. However, it requires some preparation and the right steps. This guide breaks down exactly how to change your class without losing progress.
Step 1: Travel to a Metropolitan City
Class changes can only be performed in safe, metropolitan hubs. You cannot change your class while in the wilderness or inside dungeons.
Open your map and teleport or walk to a major city, such as your faction’s capital hub.
Make sure you’re inside the city boundaries before proceeding.
Being in a city ensures you have access to the Class Change NPC and any resources needed.
Step 2: Access the Class Change Menu
Once inside a city:
Open the main game menu.
Navigate to the Aion Look tab.
Click on the Class Change option.
This will bring up the interface where you can select your new class and convert gear.
Step 3: Select Your New Class
A preview screen will show all the core classes:
Gladiator
Templar
Assassin
Ranger
Sorcerer
Elementalist / Spiritmaster
Cleric
Chanter
From here:
Choose the class you want to switch to.
Check the preview screen to see how your character looks with that class’s starting gear.
This helps you visualize your new role before committing.
Step 4: Convert Your Equipment
Different classes use different armor types (Cloth, Leather, Chain, Plate) and weapons. Aion 2 allows you to convert your existing gear so you don’t end up defenseless.
Free Transfers: Up to 5 pieces of equipment can be converted free of charge.
Extra Transfers: Any additional gear, weapons, or accessories require a fee in Quna (premium currency).
Select which items you want to convert into equivalents suitable for your new class.
This ensures you can jump right into action without hunting for new gear.
Step 5: Finalize and Check Inventory
Once you confirm your choices:
Your character instantly transforms into the new class.
All converted equipment is sent to your inventory.
Open your bag and equip your new gear.
Visit the skills menu to set up new skill combinations and Stigma talent trees for your chosen class.
At this point, you’re ready to explore Aion 2 with your fresh class setup.
Pro Tips
Plan ahead: Some classes have very different playstyles. Think about your preferred role before switching.
Test skills in safe areas: Before heading into high-level content, practice your new abilities in low-risk zones.
Consider hybrid builds: Certain combinations of gear and class can optimize survivability and damage output.
Changing your class in Aion 2 is simple once you know the steps. With the right preparation, you can experiment with new playstyles without losing your hard-earned progression.
