Hitting the endgame in Aion 2 is an incredible feeling, but it doesn't take long before you hit that familiar wall: your Combat Power (CP) stops moving, and the enemies start hitting back a lot harder. If you want to maximize your CP and build a truly optimal character for the late-game content, you need to look past temporary gear pieces that you will eventually replace. The top-tier players who are pulling ahead right now are focusing heavily on character-bound scaling progression paths—systems that stay with your character permanently, ensuring your power scales cleanly as the game updates.
Whether you are trying to break through a frustrating gear score gate or trying to squeeze every drop of damage out of your rotation, optimizing your CP requires a mix of smart resource management, strategic progression mechanics, and targeted farming. Here is a breakdown of the absolute best methods to scale your character's power efficiently right now.
1. Optimize Your Skill Progression Boards
One of the most consistent, permanent ways to unlock passive Combat Power boosts is by investing heavily in your skill and specialization systems. It might not look as flashy as a shiny new weapon, but the math behind the boards doesn't lie.
  • Devenian (Deanian) Boards: Make it a habit to clear every single Sealed Dungeon and space rift you can get your hands on. These activities reward you with Devenian Crystals, which are the literal grid pieces used to path through your board. Simply advancing through these boards can net you upwards of 500+ permanent CP that never goes away.
  • The Level 20 Skill Secret: When working through your Devenian board, look for opportunities to secure the +4 level boost using your crystals. The golden rule here is to target your active rotation skills to hit a functional level 20 breakpoint. Do not make the amateur mistake of rushing a single skill all the way to level 10 out of the gate. It is significantly better for your total CP and build flexibility to balance your upgrades across all skills to level 5 first, which opens up crucial specialty slots.
  • Arcana Cards: Get comfortable farming Transcendence content to secure Arcana cards. Once you have them, you will want to manually feed lower-tier cards into your top-row active cards to roll vital rotation skills. Pay extra attention to the newer Libra Arcana slots—prioritizing these is one of the cleanest ways to optimize your offensive stat scaling.

2. Prioritize High-Impact Gear & Currency Systems
Once you hit level 45 and beyond, gearing becomes much less about praying for a lucky drop and much more about how smart you are with your resources.
  • The Even Enhancement Strategy: It is incredibly tempting to dump all your gold and upgrade materials into your main weapon to try and force a +5. Resist the urge. Because of how the scaling and success rates work, it is significantly cheaper and far more resource-efficient to upgrade multiple items to +1 across your entire character than it is to rush a single piece. Spread those enhancements evenly across your base armor first.
  • Abyss Point (AP) Grinding: AP remains king for long-term progression. Make sure you are hitting your weekly Battlefields, clearing your Duty Missions, and cleaning out the main village command shop quests every single week to keep your AP stores high.
  • Grab Abyss Accessories First: When you start spending that hard-earned AP, buy your PvP accessories early on. Even if you are primarily a PvE player, these accessories carry massive stat lines that work perfectly fine in dungeons, cost fewer resources to optimize, and act as incredible placeholders that will easily carry you deep into the endgame.
  • Vakron Sky Island: Keep a close eye on your gear score. The absolute moment you cross the 1800 threshold, transition your daily focus to running Vakron's Sky Island. This zone currently offers the single fastest jump in overall power in the game.

3. Target Unbeatable Stat Multipliers
Raw gear score is great for bypassing dungeon entry requirements, but your specific stat allocations dictate how hard you actually hit in a live fight. When you are socketing Manastones or polishing your endgame gear, you shouldn't just slot whatever looks high. Focus on the core attributes that genuinely shift the needle:
  • Accuracy (Priority 1): Absolutely vital. If your attacks miss, none of your expensive damage multipliers, crit stats, or gear attributes trigger. Hit your targets first.
  • Smite (Priority 2): The premium endgame DPS multiplier. It deals unmatched double damage and scales incredibly well as your base stats grow.
  • Combat Speed (Priority 3): Maximizes your basic attack uptime. This is crucial not just for sustained DPS, but for managing active skill cooldowns and keeping your mana regenerated.
  • Damage / Weapon Boost (Priority 4): Flat, clean multipliers that scale directly with your endgame active skills. A reliable way to raise your baseline floor.

4. Farm Solo Dungeons for Passive Stat Boosts
Never ignore the solo content brackets. Solo progression is arguably the most important source of underlying, account-wide raw power and character materials in the game.
  • Nightmare Solo Dungeons: Do not just run these once and forget them. Pushing higher seasonal boss difficulties rewards you with exclusive Statues. Placing these statues in your collection gives massive, permanent passive power boosts directly to your base stats.
  • Wing Progression Collection: Collect every single set of wings you can find, whether they come from rare dungeon drops or mission coins. Every single pair of wings you add to your collection permanently unlocks higher flight power stats, pushing your CP floor up.
  • Ascension Trials: Make these timed trial rooms a regular part of your gameplay loop. They are the primary way to stockpile Celentium and Superior Ascension Mana Stones, which you will absolutely need to min-max your final endgame build.

Quick Takeaway: Stop chasing individual item drops and start focusing on your Devenian boards, even gear enhancement, and stacking Accuracy and Smite. Do the weekly chores, clear your solo trials, and the raw Combat Power will follow naturally.
