The latest collaboration in Aion 2 has officially dropped, and it is a pretty wild one. If you have been running around the server lately, you might have noticed some players bashing monsters with what looks like a glowing K-pop concert prop. That is the new fromis_9 Light Stick weapon skin, introduced as part of the game's limited-time crossover event with the K-pop group.
It is definitely one of those unique, standalone cosmetics that stands out in a fantasy MMO setting. If you want to trade your traditional sword or staff for a bright cheering prop, here is the quick breakdown of exactly how to grab one, how much it will cost you, and a few weird quirks you should know about before purchasing.
Where to Get the Skin and Cost Details
Unlike some event rewards that require grinding repetitive dungeons or farming event tokens, the fromis_9 Light Stick skin is a direct purchase. You will need to head straight to the in-game cash shop to pick it up.
According to the official patch notes on AION2 Hub, here are the transaction details you need to keep in mind:
  • Price: Each individual weapon skin costs 1,000 Quna.
  • Availability Window: The skins became available starting from the June 17 maintenance and will remain in the shop until the August 12 maintenance. Once that August maintenance hits, they are gone.
  • Class and Weapon Restrictions: There is one specific light stick skin available for each weapon type. Be very careful here: each skin is strictly locked to its matching character class. Make sure you are buying the correct version for the character you actually play.

Important Cosmetic Details and Post-Event Changes
Before you open up the cash shop and spend your Quna, there are a few practical details you should be aware of regarding how these skins function and how they will look in the future.
First and foremost, this skin is purely cosmetic. It completely alters your weapon's appearance into a vibrant, concert-ready cheering prop, but it does not give you any bonus combat stats, hidden attributes, or competitive advantages. It is strictly for flexing your style in towns and during combat.
The Name Change Notice: This is a highly unusual detail, so pay close attention if you care about the branded aspect of the crossover. If you want the official group version, you need to buy it during the event window. After the November 25, 2026 maintenance, the "fromis_9" branding and the individual member names listed in the item descriptions will be updated to generic, non-branded names. The physical look of the weapon will stay the same, but the official text names will change permanently.
How to Keep Your New Skin Visible at All Times
Once you have bought your light stick, you will probably want to show it off even when you are just hanging around idling or chatting with your guildmates. By default, your character might sheath or hide their weapon when out of combat.
To keep your brand-new glowing skin fully visible at all times, you just need to toggle a specific option in your game settings. Navigate over to Settings → Graphics → Camera → Visible Weapon Display to turn on the idle weapon display feature. Turn this on, and your character will keep their weapon out and proudly displayed even during idle animations.
That is pretty much all there is to it. If you have the Quna saved up and want to add something a bit more colorful and modern to your Aion 2 wardrobe, make sure you make your decision before the August 12 deadline rolls around!
