What's Changed in the 3.29 Allflame Loot Patch?
The hotfix focuses on one goal: making Charts rewarding before you even enter a Voyage.
Previously, players could clear several Charts in minutes and leave with almost no currency, despite earning plenty of Gold and Voyage materials. The patch transforms Charts into a legitimate farming strategy by significantly increasing both loot density and valuable encounters.

Why Charts Are Finally Worth Running
Strongboxes Now Spawn Much More Frequently
One of the largest buffs is the default appearance of Diviner's, Arcanist's, and Operative Strongboxes in map-level Charts and Voyages.
Before the patch, these premium Strongboxes were relatively rare.
Now, it's common to encounter one or more every few Charts, dramatically increasing rewards through:
Raw currency
Scarabs
Divination Cards
Valuable crafting materials
Because Strongboxes now make up a much larger portion of your profits, every Chart feels considerably more rewarding.
Always Carry Orbs of Alchemy
Strongboxes currently spawn as normal rarity.
Before opening them, use an Orb of Alchemy to upgrade them into rare Strongboxes.
This simple habit greatly increases their rewards and is one of the easiest ways to improve your overall farming efficiency.
Keep a full stack of Alchemy Orbs in your inventory whenever farming Charts or Voyages.
Scarab Farming Has Improved Dramatically
Perhaps the biggest practical difference after the patch is the sheer number of Scarabs.
Currency Chests Appear Constantly
GGG significantly increased the frequency of:
Currency Chests
Scarab Chests
Stacked Deck Chests
Map Chests
Instead of occasionally finding one, most Tier 16 Charts now contain multiple valuable chests.
As a result, Scarabs are dropping in large quantities, making Charts one of the strongest sources of mapping resources currently available.
Players who tested the mechanic immediately after the hotfix reported earning dozens of Scarabs in only a handful of Charts.
Golden Lanterns Are Much Stronger

Previously, these layouts often made Voyage planning awkward because players lacked enough junctions to connect efficient routes.
With more varied Chart shapes appearing, assembling profitable Voyages becomes much easier.
Although straight pieces still exist, Voyage construction now requires much less inventory management and fewer unusable Chart fragments.
Faster Access to Ducat Crafting
Unlocking the full Ducat crafting system was one of the biggest complaints during launch.
Originally, players needed to complete a lengthy progression involving multiple unique encounters before gaining access to its strongest features.
The hotfix greatly streamlines this process.
Instead of several lengthy steps, progression now mainly consists of:
Defeating required unique enemies
Completing the league's final boss encounter
This allows players to begin using Allflame crafting much earlier in endgame progression.
Additional crafting currencies, including Ancient Orbs, are also being added to the crafting system.
Quality-of-Life Improvements
Besides increasing loot, the update also removes many frustrating aspects of the league mechanic.
Faster Voyage Access
Players can now launch Voyages directly from the Bathysphere instead of repeatedly speaking with Val.
This significantly reduces downtime between runs.
Better Lantern Indicators
Previously, lantern indicators frequently highlighted worthless objects like Crab Nests or resource nodes.
